Arkansas competed in Alianza Nacional Dallas

The second stop of POWERADE® Sueño Alianza tour in Dallas proved to be extremely competitive due to the high level of talent witnessed. Over 400 players participated in the tryouts all chasing the same dream of becoming professional soccer players.

On May 3rd at the Trinity View Park in Dallas, Texas, two of the top 48 players were selected to join the best of them. The 44 remaining still have the possibility of being chosen to showcase their talent in October at the POWERADE® Sueño Alianza National Showcase.

In the Alianza soccer tournament which was held in the City of Dallas, Texas last weekend, we realized that the fans in Arkansas are no longer satisfied with playing in local leagues.
The truth is that if teams of Northwest Arkansas traveled to Dallas, Texas to be part of Alianza de Futbol in 2015. Like them, there are many young people and adults who still dream of playing professional soccer.

Teams like Despoblado of Rogers, Los Huercos of Siloam Springs, Club Rayados of Rogers, traveled 700 miles to live that dream. Some of these teams managed to reach the semifinals, and some other ones remained halfway. The top two players from Dallas are: Luis Miguel Muñoz, in the U-16 category and Sebastian Venegas of the U-19 category.

Luis Miguel Muñoz of the U-16 lives in Dallas and is 14 years old, he plays as a forward and attends William James Middle School. Sebastian a defender from the U-19 category, was born in Colombia and lives in Dallas, he is 17 years old and attends Liberty High School.

Both will attend the POWERADE® Sueño Alianza National Showcase in October. Like us on: and follow us on:
