Arkansas wins but don’t convince the fan base.

Macon’s behavior is not acceptable during press conference.

Saturday’s afternoon was not a pleasant to razorback fans that were present inside Bud Walton Arena to witness Arkansas vs Missouri. The Hogs victory a 65-63 against the Tigers was good, but didn’t convince fans that spent their afternoon calling the hogs. It was a must win for Mike Anderson and a very important match. Arkansas once again couldn’t finish from the beginning of the game. Key players were missing shots from the paint and missing layouts, a struggle that could cost the game to the Razorbacks inside Bud Walton Arena. Not only that, Macon’s behavior during the press conference tore one of the most prestigious sports reporters in the State. But that is a story that I will leave for another edition. Seven minutes left in the game and Missouri took the lead putting the score 54-53. Second after taking the lead, the Tigers will score a big 3 point shot to put the lead 57-53. Arkansas start losing focus and the legs were shaking. I heard a wise man said “I rather be lucky that a good team,” and that is exactly what Mike Anderson and his Razorbacks had, LUCK and they walked away with another victory, this time against the Missouri Tigers 65-63. Head Coach Cuonzo Martin in press conference said “ we have to give credit to Arkansas, they came out from the beginning and set the pace, we could not finished and we came short at the end of the game.” Mike Anderson knows that playing in the SEC is hard and that the game is not over until the horn blows. “Missouri –Arkansas goes to the last shot, we were fortunate to come on top. We have a lot of momentum; it’s a 40 minute game. They kept fighting, they have a light. Our defense was good. We continue to play basketball, in the last two minutes I saw our defense rise to the occasion and make it difficult to Missouri to score, that is how it goes in conference play, and each game will be possession here. They made 11-3 and I asked, how did we game this game? It was an effort to our defense.” Arkansan walked away with another win at home, but it seems that in the locker room things are not that great. It was show with Bad Boy Macon’s behavior during press conference when Macon refused to answer a question made by a member of the media. Mike Anderson came to his rescue when he was asked about the performance of Macon coming off the bench. “He played well, I have 8-9 starters, It doesn’t matter for me, maybe they see it different, but I think is playing time. Daryl played well helping Daniel, we have not play well, but tonight we did from the start.” Anderson concluded. Up next Wednesday, Arkansas will play away against Florida
