For the first time ever, CGWG is offering its popular Basic Supervisor Training in Spanish for Central Arkansas employers. The basic Supervisor Training, developed by the attorneys at CGWG, is designed to help companies avoid legal action resulting from common Human Resources issues, including, Discrimination in the Workplace and Discipline, Documentation and Termination.
This training will be conducted by attorney Misty Wilson Borkowski, an established, bilingual Little Rock attorney. “As today’s workforce continues to become more diverse, it is critical to provide employers and workers in all communities, who speak all languages, access to this type of training,”Borkowski said.
The training will be held on July 24, 2014, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services Center at 5401 S. University in Little Rock, Arkansas. “Savvy employers understand that regular training for new supervisors and experienced supervisors is essential,” Borkowski said. “There is also a direct correlation between well-trained supervisors and employees who are motivated, engaged and productive. This type of training has the potential to enhance the workplace as a whole because it improves morale, increases communication and trust, and limits risk for legal action.” Borkowski is designated as a Consulting Attorney to the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock (2007-present). She will be joined by labor and employment attorney Donna
Galchus of CGWG. Donna has more than 30 years of experience in the practice of employment and immigration law. Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C.
