Consulate of Mexico offers flu vaccines for free

December 7-13th is National Influenza Vaccination Week. If you have not gotten your flu vaccine yet, now is the time!
For this reason, the Consulate of Mexico in Little Rock offers its Ventanilla de Salud program that includes flu vaccine promotion events.


The program is being offered December 5, 8, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. occasionally there will be nasal vaccine in spray.
That is intended to reach of local Latinos/Hispanics with the important message of developing serious flu-related complications that can lead to hospitalization or even death.


Those at high risk include: Pregnant women, children younger than 5, but especially children younger than 2 years old, people 65 years of age and older, and people of any age with certain chronic medical conditions, such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease.


In addition, the Centro Cristiano Hispano Church will organize an outdoor community event on December 13 from10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 8114 W 36th Little Rock, AR. They are offering HIV testing, glucose and high-blood pressure test and also celebrating the World AIDS Day and give an opportunity to harness the power of social change to put people first and close the gap.
