Dolores Huerta speaks at Arkansas Latino Summit

LITTLE ROCK, AR – On September 26-27 the Clinton Presidential Center and Lita’s House hosted the first Arkansas Latino Summit.

The summit highlighted important issues for the Hispanic and Latino Community in hope to unite all Arkansans together around common issues.

Maricella Garcia, president of Lita’s House, said, “is exciting to bring a group of advocates, policy makers, organizations, youth and state institutional representatives from across the state in an environment that stimulates shared expression and to discuss important issues relating to our community.”

The Keynote speaker was, Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez, a labor leader and organizer and social activist.
