Grand celebration of “Dia de los Muertos” at the Little Rock Zoo

The Little Rock ZOO, celebrated BOO AT THE ZOO, Arkansas' largest Halloween festival October 18 through October 25 and then October 29 through November 1.

The most exciting highlights at BOO AT THE ZOO was Annual ¡Hola! Arkansas “Día de Muertos” at BOO AT THE ZOO" on Friday, November 1st, presented with the support of the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock.

The event was a complete success, thousands of children enjoyed and learned about the Mexican and central American holiday. The ¡Hola! Arkansas “Día de Muertos” stage was very well decorated with an Altar, ‘papel picado’ and many ornaments brought directly from Mexico.

¡Hola! Arkansas, the Mexican Consulate staff and volunteers welcomed everyone that visit the stage. Mariachi America delighted all visitors with a Mexican welcomed at the Zoo's gate. Guests enjoyed 'Dia de los Muertos" candy and sticker books, trick-or-treating in a safe environment, fair-style rides, concessions, a haunted house, haunted train, fun house, carnival games, zoo vampire bats, bands, live music, food trucks, and the beauty Shop of Horrors.
