Arkansas put together a dominant performance against Florida A&M Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium, rushing for 236 yards while holding the Rattlers to 7 points.
Sophomore running back Devwah Whaley began Arkansas’ scoring late in the first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown to give the Razorbacks a 7-0 lead. Whaley tallied 60 yards on the ground in his first career start in which he only played the first half.
Austin Allen’s first touchdown of the 2017 campaign came in the second quarter on a 16-yard pass to sophomore Deon Stewart. It was Stewart’s first start of his career and his first career touchdown.
Allen finished the night 14-of-19 with 135 yards. Arkansas returns to face TCU Saturday Sept. 9 in Fayetteville. The game is schedule for a 2:30 kickoff on CBS.
