¡Hola! Arkansas goes weekly On-line!

LITTLE ROCK, AR (Hispanic PR Wire) October 1, 2004 -- ¡Hola! Arkansas announced today that it has relaunched ¡Hola! Arkansas as an “OnLine BILINGUAL Weekly,” www.Hola-Arkansas.com, with an even more attractive and fully revamped site to better serve its readers and advertisers. ¡Hola! Arkansas web site was created by and is now part of Hispanic Digital Network (HDN), the nation’s first network of Hispanic publications online. “HDN news Web sites are characterized by their ease of use and sophistication. Each Web site features news editorial, classifieds, community calendar and advertising posting systems that are fully Internet based,” said Claudia Philips HDN Chief Operating Officer.

¡Hola! Arkansas has been serving the Hispanic community for 4 years as the Natural State’s Premiere

Bilingual Newspaper. ¡Hola! Arkansas will continue to publish it’s esteemed printed version of the publication every two weeks for distribution throughout the state. However, now the On-line bilingual version of the publication will be available online weekly.

“¡Hola! Arkansas as an “OnLine BILINGUAL Weekly” will be updated weekly with exclusive interviews, local, national and international news plus content from virtually all departments in an effort to provide its visitors with greater frequency and more variety,” stated Maura Lozano-Yancy, Publisher & Group Publisher of ¡Hola! Arkansas Hispanic Media & Publishing Co. “Providing our readers with weekly updates and breaking news on the web including exciting contest and promotions, we should enjoy a tremendous competitive advantage,” proclaimed Lozano-Yancy.

“The improved quality and resources available on our new Web site will be evident to our readers and advertisers immediately,” said Maura Lozano-Yancy, publisher of ¡Hola! Arkansas. www.Hola-Arkansas.com is now fully optimized to provide readers with a richer Internet experience that includes the latest news, photos, community calendar events, online classifieds, Yellow Pages, advertisement specials and much more.”

“As a Hispanic owned and operated organization, we are very active in the Arkansas community and we generate more news than we can publish in our bi-weekly format,” stated Maura Lozano-Yancy.

“Therefore, we have decided to offer this news and much more, On-line!” she exclaimed. Content for ¡Hola! Arkansas will now be managed by Katherina-Marie Yancy, ¡Hola! Arkansas newly appointed On-line editor.

A key highlight of the Web site for advertisers will be their ability to target their online ads to specific sections of the ¡Hola! Arkansas site such as exclusive interview, politics, sports, entertainment, local news and other categories and sections. www.Hola-Arkansas.com is also hotwired to enable advertisers to reach viewers with Rich Media and other cutting edge Web technology ads. The Web site also features a fully searchable Internet classifieds system that even allows advertisers to post color photos with classifieds listings.

Readers desiring the latest dates and times for concerts and other entertainment events will be especially pleased with www.Hola-Arkansas.com top-of-the-line community calendar section. This section lets readers view the most comprehensive listing of Arkansans Latino happenings available anywhere. Readers can search events by month, date and year, up to one year in advance.

¡Hola! Arkansas “OnLine BILINGUAL Weekly,” www.Hola-Arkansas.com, also features sections for letters to the editor, Web links of interest to Latino readers, an archive of past stories and many other resources but Lozano-Yancy says this is only the beginning.

“This is a new and exciting era for ¡Hola! Arkansas and its readers as we elevate the quality of everything that we do and how we do it,” said Lozano-Yancy. “Through our Web site and with the help of our partners at Hispanic Digital Network, we’re confident that our readers are going to be able to enjoy terrific content and information that will keep them coming back to us everday."
