Mayor of Huimilpan, Querétaro visited Little Rock

Mayor of Huimilpan, María Garcia Perez made a working trip to Benton and Little Rock Arkansas. She met with the Mexican consul, as well as groups of the migrant communities of Huitron, San Jose, Tepuzas, Salitrillo, El Peral, La Peña and Ceja de Bravo, among others.

García Pérez visit, on 30 and 31 March, had the purpose of strengthening social ties among those migrants working in the United States and their home communities. One of her main objectives was to promote the 3x1 Program for Migrants, where the Government of Mexico through the Ministry of Social Services supports migrants clubs of Mexicans living abroad.

The purpose of the program is intended to match every dollar invested by the Migrant Clubs with Federal, State and Municipal governments allocated dollar with the intent to quadruple the amount and provide access to productive projects to their own families and community.

Among other activities, Mayor Garcia Perez accompanied Consul of Mexico in Little Rock, David Manuel Preciado Juarez, and attended the awards ceremony of the children's soccer tournament. On Monday, March 31 she participated at the Pledge of Allegiance at the Consulate of Mexico in Little Rock.
