Hola! Arkansas to celebrate 10th Annual “Cinco de Mayo” Health & Safety Fair

“Anyone participating in health screenings will be provided with free lunch, ice cream and free beverages,” said Lozano-Yancy.

“The 10th Annual of the ¡Hola! Arkansas Health & Safety Fair will be offering opportunities to learn more about ways Arkansas Hispanic and minority families can prepare for an emergency and become better aware of health prevention programs that may impact our communities,” said Lozano-Yancy.

The free community event is sponsored by Jefferson Comprehensive Care System (JCCSI). Co-Sponsors include, UAMS CDA Center for Diversity Affairs, Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS), Mexican Consulate in Little Rock with the ‘Ventanillas de Salud” Program, SOS-UAPB, Arkansas Department of Health (DHS) - Southwest Clinic, Arkansas National Guard (ANG), Personal Injury Consultants, Blue Bell Creameries, La Que Buena 1380AM, Today’s THV, Linn’s Auto, Pawnderosa Pawn, PartyGras, Coleman Dairy, New Age Distributing (Mountain Valley Spring Water-7UP-SunKist), FritoLay, Reddy Ice, College Station Clinic and City Center.
There will be over 30 exhibitors and medical services available to answers questions and to provide educational information, those participating are, Baptitst Health, AARP, HIPPY Program, ADH-ConnectCare, ADH- Nutrition Program, DHS/DDS Children’s Services, DHS-Developmental Disabilities, DHS- Child Care Education, Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, Arkansas Human Development Corporation, Healthy Smiles, UAMS-Hispanic outreach (Esperanza y Vida), Community Health Centers of Arkansas, Disability Right Center, Veterans Affairs Regional Office, Arkansas Foundation for Medical Science, Arkansas Relay Services, UAMS Partners for Inclusive Communities Living with Sickle Cell Program, Arkansas State Insurance Department SHIIP, Pathfinder, American Lung Cancer Association, Coalition for a Tobacco Free Arkansas, Arkansas BlueCross BlueShields, Arora, Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD), New York Life Insurance,Governor Mike Beebe- Minority Affairs Office and the Arkansas Forestry Commission among others.
