Sporting wins at home and advance with a firm pace.

Kansas City, Kansas- Saturday September 16th, turned into a night full of smiles at Children's Mercy Park. It was Sporting KC who came out on top against a strong New England Revolution.

Early in the first 5 minutes Revolution found themselves on top with a quick and early goal that stunned everyone in the stadium. However not to long after, in the 11th minute Revolution would go down a man after quite a hefty elbow from Krisztian Nemeth toward Graham Zusi. Nemeth happens to be a former Sporting player so it wasn't the best welcoming for him at his former home stadium. This incident would open the door for SKC to turn a one-goal deficit into a convincing 3-1 win. With this win Sporting Kansas City has moved into a tie for second place in the Western Conference. Sporting now looks forward to the U.S. Open Cup final this Wednesday vs New York Red Bull's .
