LULAC Little Rock grants scholarships to 10 Hispanic students

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The League of United Latin American Citizens, LULAC, Little Rock chapter 750, officially presented scholarships to 10 Hispanic college students. The reception took place at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service on Thursday, November 10. Christina Muñoz, late news anchor for channel 7 KATV was the MC and the former Arkansas Senator and School Dean, David Pryor presented the awards to the students.

Founder of Ballet Hispanico awarded National Medal of Arts

NEW YORK, NY — Tina Ramirez, founder and artistic director of Ballet Hispanico, has been awarded the National Medal of Arts for her enduring contributions to the field of dance. President George W. and Mrs. Bush presented the award in an Oval Office ceremony at the White House on Thursday, November 10, 2005.

The Ballet Hispanico made it’s debut in Arkansas during the Ballet’s 2004 National Tour in Feb. 10, 2004. The rhythms of Hispanic cultures around the world came alive on stage in a dazzling dance spectacle at Hendrix College.

Clinton School names Ana Hart of Tyson Foods to National Advisory Board

NEW YORK, NY — Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has been named one of the country’s five best governors by Time magazine.
