Atlanta United makes history by beating America of Mexico

The distances were shortened and to prove it, Atlanta United, the current MLS champion managed to get his second cup by defeating by a 3-2 score at home against Club America of Mexico.

The Americanista fans hoped to see in this great final the new stars and reinforcements of the Eagles: Gio Do Santos and Memo Ochoa, but they will have to wait.

Josef Martinez was the headache for Las Aguilas who had to use brute force to stop the powerful Venezuelan forward Josef who were impeccable from the spot of the 12 steps.

Atlanta will have a rest and does not return home until August 27 to try to win another cup against Minnesota United. On the other hand, America, after winning a the MX League against Monarcas by the minimum difference of one goal by zero, will return to action on Saturday, August 24 when it faces the Tigers.
