Arkansas celebrates Cinco de Mayo, health and the Mexican culture Saturday, May 7 with the help of sponsors and exhibitors offering free information, free health screenings and free food while dancing to Mexican tunes at the 13th Annual ¡Hola! Arkansas Health & Safety Fest at MacArthur Park in Little Rock, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“This year’s annual event will be a step up, like no other. We are expecting that hundreds of families will gather to learn what Arkansas has to offer in health, safety, disaster and emergency while everyone enjoys and celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican culture, food and music,” said Maura Lozano-Yancy, President & CEO Hola! The signature annual event be focus in providing Hispanic families with effective preparedness, health services, food and information promoting a safer and healthier life in Arkansas.
This year, ¡Hola! Arkansas Health & Safety Fair, be hosting a Soccer Tournament Boys under 15.
“Family entertainment by the performer Maribel Rivera “La Voz Hecha Cumbia”, Mexican DJ, Rodolfo “Universo Musical,” Sergio Valdivia ZumbaTroll, Mexican dancers, Claudia Montante and the locally famous Kaskarita Clown” said Lozano-Yancy. Don’t forget the ¡Hola! KIDZONE which includes free rides and several ‘Bouncers.’
Anyone be received health screenings provided with free lunch, and free beverages. ¡Hola! Arkansas management prepare to feed 1,000 lunches, consisting of a quarter pound 85 percent lean meat.
Food partners, beverages and water continued to be sponsored by New Age Distributing to include Deja Blue Water, 7UP, SunKist, A&W Root Beer and Sunny Delight; Pepsice and FritoLay will be providing Doritos and chips; Arora donated the icies.
¡Hola! Arkansas Health & Safety Fair will be offering opportunities to learn more about ways Arkansas’ Hispanic and minority families can prepare for an emergency and become better aware of health prevention programs that may impact our communities.
The signature community event is presented this year by Steve Landers Auto Group, UAMS CDA Center for Diversity Affairs, Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, Telemundo Arkansas and DrTV Arkansas.
