With impeccable performance by Chelsea Dungee, Alexis Tolefree, and Amber Ramirez; the University of Arkansas women’s basketball team achieved a major victory over UT Martin by a score of 96-46, and thus reached 14 victories in the current campaign.
Chelsea Dungee becomes one of the best players for the Mike Neighbors cast by setting a 1,000-point mark this season.
Sunday afternoon was no exception for Dungee who scored 16 points and won 5 rebounds for The Razorbacks.
Amber Ramirez contributed 14 points and five rebounds to conclude the Arkansas preseason games.
“I think our kids continue to find ways to make defenses wrong and adjust, we didn’t get off to a great start tonight with four turnovers in our first seven possessions, but really settle out from that point on.” said Mike Neighbors during his press conference.
“The defense that they chose was 1-3-1, we learned how to pick that up and break it during practice because obviously there it was that one player, and that’s why the 3 point line is deadly.” Concluded Chelsea Dungee.
Up next for Arkansas is Texas A&M on January 2nd at Bud Walton Arena to tip off the start conference play and find out if Arkansas is made to be a contender for the SEC title. The meeting against The Aggies is scheduled for 8 P.M.
