Santos defeats in the TSM of the lagoon region to Cruz Azul 3 goals to 1, so the Warriors assure La Liguilla as super leaders with week 19 left to play. The last two teams to qualified to to the big dance are uknown.

Cruz Azul won’t make the play offs this season, and this adds up since December 7, 1997 that they do not conquer another championship. It’s 22 years since their fans celebrated a championship.
The match begins with a high pressure by Santos not allowing their opponent play out, same kind of pressure was used in previous matches. Finally in the 31st minute through Gerardo Arteaga, who after several rebounds within the area the Warrior’s defense scores from outside the area for 1 to 0.
The second goal comes a minute later, when the defense of Cruz Azul makes a mistake, which Diego Valdez takes advantage of, who sweeps away enables Brian Lozano to score the 2 to 0.
In the second half Cruz Azul discounted with a goal from Igor Lichnosvky, the 3 to 1 would come through Octavio Rivero, who entered by Furch, take advantage of the mistake made by Cruz Azul’s goalie Chuy Corona leaving the ball to embed it in the nets.
With week 19 still to play, there are still two tickets and seven teams that continue fighting mathematically those two positions, 7 and 8 respectively, although everything indicates that the rival of Santos may be Monterrey, which would be a great match.
