First-ever conversation between José Díaz-Balart and Jorge Ramos

For the first time in the history of Spanish-language TV, viewers will be able to watch as the main news anchors of the country’s top Hispanic networks engage in an open dialogue: José Díaz-Balart, of Noticias Telemundo, and Jorge Ramos, of Univisión Noticias, this Monday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m./5:30 CT on Telemundo.

Díaz-Balart and Ramos will discuss the present and future of the Latino community, the impact of the Trump presidency, journalism, activism, and Ramos’s new book, Stranger, among other topics. Their conversation, which took place at the Books and Books bookstore in Coral Gables, Florida, will also be available on and Noticias Telemundo’s social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

“This Noticias Telemundo initiative strengthens our shared commitment to the Latino community at a time when journalism has become of vital importance for us,” Díaz-Balart said.

“This is the first time we are doing this.  We’ve owed it to each other for the last 30 years,” Ramos said, alluding to the significance of the encounter and the experience the two colleagues share.
