San José, California was the witness of the metamorphosis that the United States and Costa Rica National Teams go through. More than 13 thousands fans were present at the Avaya Stadium witnessed what could be the start of a good process that would end with 2022 World Cup Qualfiers.

United States coach Gregg Berhalter becomes the third coach of Team USA to achieve victories in two consecutive games with the natioal  team.

Great performance by Sebastian Lletget who suffered an injury against Honduras during the World Cup Qualifiers on March 24, 2017.  Sebastian was a crucial piece in the US victory against The Ticos 2-0.

Lletget scored top of the 80th minute and assist in the second goal to put a final scored 2-0.

“When I learned that the game was played here, I was very happy to be able to come here, it reminded me of many good and bad things, because here where I got hurt. In my score, Jonathan and I have been working on this play, and it was very special that the opportunity presented itself and that he scored with this play. Greg always wants me to do the best and contribute to the team, I think I had a good performance but the most important thing is that the team is working well and I think we are working for that goal. In the last two games we achieved our goals and we will continue to improve. “ Said Sebatian Lletget.

“I felt very good to play for on the left wing, this is something I had not done, Greg asked me to do it and I think I did well, it is the same position only on the opposite side of the field, the most important thing was to contribute to the victory of the team. We concentrated on doing what we have been working on during camp, and forgetting about Costa Rica and focusing on us. It feels good to win, I think last year, I  improved my statistics and when you represent your country and your family is present and you scored, you can not ask for more. I’m also happy with Sebastian’s performance, since he’s from San Jose, that’s what we want to see when you get call to the national team, and make a difference. I think our camp was very succesful, we played against Panama and Costa Rica and if we evaluate, I think we achieved everything that was planned. “Concluded Paul Arriola.

United States closed February camp with victory and on March 21st  will return to action to face Ecuador, this meeting will take place in  Orlando, Fl. Team US has a second match on March 26 when they face Champions of the Copa América, Chile. This last meeting will be held in Houston, Texas.
